Earily in the morning you will fly to Jimma and upon arrival you will meet the crew and drive to Chebera Churchura National Park through the grean hilly landscape of Chida, located on the western side of the central Omo Gibe basin, in between the Dawro zone and Konta zone in South West Ethiopia Peoples' Region in the southwest of Ethiopia. Chebera Churchura is a small town in the Kaffa province. Kaffa is the homeland of Coffee, It was here where coffee discovered by a shepherd named Kaldis then planted everywhere in the world. . Explore the still untouched and beautiful wildlife by driving and walking. You will be able to spot within the protected forest areas and open grasslands African Elephant, Cape Buffalo and Waterbuck herds. At like Lake Bulo with in a breath taking Landscape you see Hippopotamus. Mammals that are also found in Chebera Churchura national park include lions, leopards, servals, greater kudus, colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys. Currently, Chebera Churchura national park appears to be the least disturbed ecosystem for the African elephant and Buffalo in the country.
Today you will take the day easy by driving and game viewing towards Shoshuma and Halala Kela to discover the other parts of the untouched park with great wilderness. So far, 37 larger mammals and 237 species of birds have been recorded in the different habitats (Highland & Riverine forest and savanna and bush lands) of the park. White- winged cliff chat, banded-barbet, wattled ibis, black-headed forest Oriole and thick billed Raven are endemic birds for the country. The pool before an impressive waterfall offers the opportunity to swim. Enjoy a sundowner at the Lodge with a great view over the valley below.
After an early brakefast drive to Jimma airport for your flight to Addis Ababa. In the evening, farewell dinner at a traditional restaurant with local dancers and musicians representing some of the country’s ethnic groups.
